Another week and already we are nearly halfway through April. This year is going so fast! The 100 Day Project has encouraged me to do a little bit of stitching everyday and it has paid dividends.
I finished my second BOM block for Homespun magazine. It’s so pretty and forced me to get out of my comfort zone by trying techniques I would normally shy away from. I’m really pleased with the result.
I also finished my scarf. I love the colour. Hubble had to take about 50 photos of me with the scarf on for this blog until I was happy with one of them. Ha ha! I knit most of my scarves in acrylic because wool that close to my face can sometimes give me a reaction and also it means that I don’t feel so guilty when I want to get rid of it in a year or so. And also it’s a lot cheaper. However, anything bigger than a scarf has to be in wool. It wears better and there is nothing quite as comforting as a handmade woollen jumper or cardigan.
This weekend was the Autumn Dance at the Kalamunda Agricultural Hall with the Kalamunda Youth Swing Band. It was so much fun! We couldn’t dance because Hubble has a back injury at the moment but just watching the swing & ballroom dancers and listening to live music was fabulous. It was so much fun that we’ll be buying tickets for the Spring Dance and hopefully we’ll be able to have a spin around the dance floor.
On Saturday and Sunday I also spent some time working on a birthday present, so I can’t show you it yet but here’s a sneak peek.
So what’s in store for this week?
I want to start my BOM for April and finish the birthday present. I also want to work on the pair of socks I’m knitting and also buy the backing fabric & wadding for the charity quilt. I think I’ve decided on how I want to quilt it & really need to get it finished.

Have a great week.
Until next time…think creatively!
